The parents always insisted on telling their child that their secret friends didn't exist - perhaps because they had forgotten that they too had spoken to their angel at one time. Or, who knows, perhaps they thought they lived in a world where there was no longer any place for angels. Disenchanted, the angels had returned to God's side, knowing that they could no longer impose their presence.
Perhaps they needn't even believe - it was enough that they needed angels, and the angels would return gladly.
Οι γονείς πάντα επιμένουν λέγοντας στα παιδάί τους ότι οι φανταστικοί του φίλοι τους δεν υπάρχουν- ίσως επειδή έχουν ξεχάσει ότι και αυτοί είχαν μιλήσει με τον άγγελό τους πριν κάποια χρόνια. Ή, ποιος ξέρει, ίσως νομίζουν ότι ζουν σε έναν κόσμο όπου δεν υπάρχει πλέον χώρος για αγγέλους. Απογοητευμένοι, οι άγγελοι έχουν επιστρέψει στο πλευρό του Θεού, γνωρίζοντας ότι δεν μπορούν πλέον να επιβάλουν την παρουσία τους.
Ίσως δεν χρειάζεται καν να πιστεύουν - θα ήταν αρκετό να χρειάζονταν τους αγγέλους και οι άγγελοι θα επέστρεφαν ευχαρίστως.
