Let me be undressed from the garment

Οf the smiling

Οf the starry - eyed 

And vice versa.

Let me scream with 

rage,

Sinking wildly

Teeth in the skin,

Εnjoying

Blood's view .

I let

Myself

Τo hate you , 

Τo be fed up with you ...

For as long as I can bear it.

Let me push you down 

Let me trample on you

In the slosh, in the dirt.

With nails let me nick your  throat.

Let me hear you to mourn

With cries and laments,

To open and close

Your arms

In the blank,

Craving for me.

Let me do you with words 

Suffer,

As with silence

You are Torturing me!

I beg you, forgive me!

Spring grabbed me- the wolf-

Again the spring ...

Hide away!

Angels of Santorini Cobblestone street, narrow passage Dimly lit chapel, traces of song Refuge from the crowded throng Service ended, robed priest seated Behind the lattice the sisters  rise Blended voices reach to the skies Words of praise, songs of  glory Fill the chapel, fill the heart A choir of angels sets time  apart

Άγγελοι της Σαντορίνης Λιθόστρωτος δρόμος, στενό μονοπάτι Αμυδρά φωτισμένο εκκλησάκι, ήχοι ψαλμοί Καταφύγιο απ' την πολυσύχναστη κοσμοσυρροή Την υπηρεσία τελείωσε, ο ρασοφόρος  ιερέας κάθεται Πίσω από το δικτυωτό συνωστίζονται οι αδελφές Συγχρονισμένες οι φωνές  θα φτάσουν ως τον ουρανό Λόγια αίνου, ωδές δοξαστικές Γεμίστε το παρεκκλήσι, γεμίστε την καρδία Απορρυθμίζει το χρόνο των αγγέλων η χορωδία

The Mute Stones Speak Aegean blue in a timeless  land White waves roll and  become white sand Blue domes rise above  whitened walls We stop and listen as  history calls Toppled columns, temple in  disarray Where once proud runners  stopped to pray Now the shuffling of tourists'  feet Moving in deafness in  summer's heat But we who have seen  through Homer's muse Can in Olympia's stadium  still hear the news Thalpis of Sparta has won  the race The olive wreath now  shades his face

Οι Βουβές Πέτρες Μιλούν Γαλάζιο του Αιγαίου σε μία άχρονη γη Λευκά κύματα ρέουν, γίνονται  άμμος  λευκή  Πάνω απ' ασπρισμένους τοίχους  υψώνονται  τρούλοι γαλάζιοι Ας σταματήσουμε ν' ακούσουμε την ιστορία που φωνάζει Πεσμένες κολώνες, ναοί άτακτα ερριμμένοι  Εκεί που κάποτε οι δρομείς στέκονταν να ευχηθούν οι τιμημένοι Τώρα, ανακάτεμα ποδιών τουριστών Στην κουφόβραση του καλοκαιριού περιπατητών Μα εμείς που νιώσαμε του Όμηρου τη μούσα την ωραία Στο στάδιο της Ολυμπίας ακούμ' ακόμη  χαρμόσυνα νέα Πως ο Θάλπης απ' τη Σπάρτη έχει κερδίσει τον αγώνα Το στεφάνι ελιάς σκιάζει το πρόσωπό του ακόμα

Mykonos Windmills stand guarding  the harbour White houses contrast with the deep blue sea Mykonos, jewel of the  Cyclades Ancient battlefield of the  gods Thousands flock to its  beaches and streets With throbbing intensity it  never sleeps An Aegean paradise  spoiled by people

Μύκονος Ανεμόμυλοι στέκονται φρουροί του λιμανιού Λευκά σπίτια σε αντίθεση με το βαθύ γαλάζιο του γιαλού Μύκονος, κόσμημα των Κυκλάδων Πεδίο μάχης των θεών αρχαίων Χιλιάδες συρρέουν στις παραλίες και στους δρόμους  Σφύζουσα σ' ένταση ποτέ δεν κοιμάται Ένας παράδεισος του Αιγαίου σπιλωμένος απ' τους ανθρώπους

Acropolis Ancient temple silent in the  Grecian sky Loudly shouting to Athens and beyond Mute stones and pillars in  disarray A voiceful testament to the  world Art is reborn from the  Parthenon's beauty Its model copied in earth's  four corners Its pillars reflected in  houses of law and  commerce Its stones mirrored in seats  of power But from this sacred place  more has risen Here foundations were laid  for our life All our muses sprang from  these ruins And still echo today from  their stony silence

Ακρόπολη Αρχαίος ναός σιωπηλός κάτω από τον ελληνικό ουρανό Δυνατά φωνάζει στην Αθήνα πέρα ως  πέρα Βουβές πέτρες, κολώνες σε αταξία Μια διαθήκη κραυγαλέα προς τον κόσμο όλο Τέχνη ξαναγεννιέται από το κάλλος του Παρθενώνα Το μοντέλο του αντιγράφεται στις τέσσερις γωνιές της γης Οι κολώνες του, που αντιγράφονται σε οίκους  νόμου και  εμπορίου Οι πέτρες του κατοπτρίζονται σε θέσεις ισχύος Αλλά από αυτό το ιερό μέρος έχουν γεννηθεί πιο πολλά Εδώ τέθηκαν οι βάσεις του πολιτισμού μας Όλες οι μούσες μας ξεφύτρωσαν από αυτά τα ερείπια Και ακόμα αντηχούν σήμερα μέσα από την πέτρινη σιωπή τους

The Heart of Crete Olive green playground in sea of Aegean blue Harboured yachts and  resorted bays Busy with the frenzy and the  frolic Of the well-tanned rich and  famous But away from those people  places Beyond the reach of their  glamour The stones of history rise  and rest Without Knossos, Crete  would not have life

Η Καρδιά της Κρήτης Απ' το πράσινο της ελιάς τοπίο στη γαλάζια θάλασσα του Αιγαίου  Αγκυροβολημένα γιωτ και απολαυστικοί κόλποι  Πολυσύχναστοι με  παροξυσμό και  ευθυμία Από τους ηλιοκαμένους πλούσιους και διάσημους Αλλά μακράν απ’  όλους αυτούς τους ανθρώπους Υπεράνω της εμβελείας  της αίγλης τους Οι πέτρες της ιστορίας υψωμένες κείτονται Χωρίς την Κνωσσό η  Κρήτη δεν θα είχε ζωή http://brianwrixonpoetry.blogspot.com/
