Για ν’ ακούς μόνο εμένα
τρυφερεύουν ώρες ώρες
τα λόγια μου
και γίνονται σαν τις πατημασιές των γλάρων
στην άμμο του γιαλού…
Είναι θύελλες ζαλωμένο το πρωινό
μες στο κατακαλόκαιρο.
Σαν άσπρα μαντηλάκια αποχαιρετισμών
σαλπάρουν τα σύννεφα,
και, εκεί, τ’ αρπάζει ο άνεμος
και τα σηκώνει με τα χέρια του τα ταξιδιάρικα.
Αρίφνητη η καρδιά του ανέμου
που χτυπάει μες στην ερωτοδέσμια σιωπή μας…
Ω πευκώνα μου, εσύ, απέραντε, φλοίσβε των παρόχθιων κυμάτων,
σιγανό πηγαινέλα των φώτων,
της εκκλησιάς καμπάνα κατάμονη,
στάλα εσπερινή που ραντίζεις τα δικά σου τα μάτια,
