I 'm crawling towards you...
Like a hungry red snake.
I'm one of those serpents
which are unable to bite.
Only they terrorise people,
by twisting slippy body,
a hissing forked tongue...
I'm the kind of reptile
just hunted to be killed,
not because I'm a danger...
Just an innocent, blind
victim caused by the fear
provoked by the ignorance.
Better, murder me in fire
true passions always burn!
Dedicated to my fellow American poet B.J. Ashanti. The last poem's phrase was said to me by him in our first conversation. He inspired me! I swear I didn't ever know he likes snakes too!
